Immunohistochemistry - Progesterone Receptor (PR)

 PR or Progesterone receptor, is one of the most widely used antibodies in Immunohistochemistry.

This antibody is mainly used along with ER and Her2 to assist in determination of whether a breast case will respond to treatment based on the levels of positivity. This stains up the nuceli of breast epithelial cells and some carcinomas that are PR+. It labels epithelial cells of breast, ovary and endometrium.
